The vacuum piston pump, TPP-2, consists of the two piston pump modules and the gearbox wherein there is located the drive shaft complete with an eccentric. The driving motion is transferred onto the shaft with a key belt. An eccentric turn results, via the pusher,  in cyclic reciprocating movements of the piston, thus generating under-pressure in the suction system of the vacuum pump. The pump pistons are sealed with special-purpose flexible rubber gaskets, while the piston rods are sealed with O-rings in the guides. The piston rods and the antifriction bearings of the driving shaft are lubricated with oil from the gearbox, wherein an oil level gauge is located also.
