The fire engine is a horizontal structure of a single-stage type (provided with one impeller) and the axial inlet provided with a cap, 110, for connection of the suction hose, Ø 110, and two outlets adapted for pressure hoses, Ø 75 , with the system STORZ attachment, 75. The fire engine is provided with an automatic device to suck in water. It consists of two piston pump modules and a gearbox complete with an eccentric. A turn of the eccentric provided on the pump impeller shaft results in cyclic reciprocating movements of the piston, producing under pressure in the suction system of the impeller pump and in suction of water from the depth of 3 m in time not longer than 30s, and from 7,5 m – in 60s. An occurrence of overpressure higher than 0,25 MPa in the fire engine pressure system results in tripping the vacuum pump. The shaft is supported in two antifriction bearings, lubricated in an oil bath. The water part separated from the nearing (oil) part and sealed with a maintenance-free face sealing.The fire engine drive is transmitted from the combustion engine, via the centrifugal coupling which couples the fire engine ON at ca. 2 000 RPM.For the impeller pump drive, a four-stroke, two-cylinder engine cooled with air, model CH 27,manufactured by the KOHLER company, US, of the power output 27 KM at 3 600 RPM, the maximum torque: 53 Nm, weight: 50 kg. It is ecologically clean, it evolves scanty amounts of CO. It does need any adjustment actions due to application of the hydraulic valve clearance compensation. The transmission of the drive from the engine to the impeller pump is accomplished via the three-member centrifugal clutch provided with two central springs. The internal surface of the bell-shaped clutch driver is lined with a special-purpose abrasive lining resistant to high temperature. The engine is provided with an electronic starting system with a built-in RPM limiter. The engine is started by an electric starter. The fire engine is provided also with a lever for manual starting. The flue gas outlet silencer is provided with a tip enabling connection of a flue gas discharge conduit.. The full fuel tank (15 litres) enables 2-hour heavy-duty operation of the fire engine at the rated specifications. The complete unit is set on a metal frame provided with 4 rubber catches enabling easy movement
