The fast-attack winder is intended for winding-up a high-pressure
hose of the diameter. The winder is applied in fire-fighting
vehicles.

The fast-attack winder consists of the winding reel provided with borders. The reel is supported in two antifriction bearings; the holders of the latter being fixed to a special-purpose stillage. On one border, there is a big ratchet wheel mating with the drive ratchet, secured to the winder stillage. The ratchet gear is operated with a manual crank and makes the winder reel to rotate.
